VASTU & FENGSHUI

Knowledge of correct vastu & fengshui placement enhances material, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and environmental harmony.
Vastu is related to indian philosophy, religion and cosmic energies.

It deals with permutations and combinations of 27 Nakshatras, 9 Grahas, 12 Rashies / houses. Making small sensible changes will bring remarkably positive results. The term feng shui literally translates as "wind-water" in English. This is a cultural shorthand taken from the following passage of the Zhangshu (Book of Burial) by Guo Pu of the Jin Dynasty Qi rides the wind and scatters, but is retained when encountering water. Traditional feng shui practice always requires an extremely accurate Chinese compass, or luo pan, in order to determine the directions in finding any auspicious sector in a desired location.Although feng shui is conceptually similar to its Indian counterpart Vaastu Shastra in that they both try to harmonize the flow of life-energy (qi in Chinese or prana in Sanskrit) through the house, it differs in the details, such as the exact directions in which various objects, rooms, materials etc. are to be placed.

Feng Shui Tips

1 - Keep your Space Clean. Cleanliness is friendliness. Having dirty floors, windows, and surface areas slows the flow of positive energy and traps negative energies in your space. The dirt is unsightly and though you may not consciously mind it, it affects your subconscious view of your space and your life.  You'll feel less stressed seeing a clean space, so go on and grab your broom!

2 - Remove Clutter! On its own, clutter can give you feelings of fatigue anxiety and stress, for it is stagnated low chi. At a deeper level, it mirrors our mental clutter, and can often be clutter that adversely impacts the very things we are trying to attract into our lives - stacks of bills in our wealth area might be draining our resources! Clearing clutter, visible and out of sight (that means closets, storage spaces & under beds!), will increase your sense of well-being and sharpen your mental acuity. It will give you a great clean slate for you to Feng Shui your space.

3 - Select Items with Care.  When designing your Feng Shui home, you do not have to rid yourself of all your possessions in favor of furnishings you wouldn't otherwise select. Feng Shui is about balance. Some of your items may be creating an imbalance, in which case you would want to select a more suitable replacement - but ultimately, the selection is yours. Go for clean, new, and fresh items. Avoid desperation buying. Its better to sit on the floor for a few months than grab a dirty, decaying couch that will bring you and the energy of the home down. Items you select should suit your personality, style and the energy of the home.
